Fun novelty toy but breaks very easily as it is a soft mineral. I also was not happy that the item was not completely translucent due to impurities. Because of this, you could kind of see words appearing on the surface but it definitely had a large effect on the clarity. Because the quality of the product is questionable I would most likely not buy this product again.

I had another one from a rock store that was beautifully clear, and my daughter dropped it and it broke into many pieces. This one was about the same price (with shipping) and you can barely see through it all. Disappointing.

OK, it's a rock. It has some cool properties. It is pretty much as described. And it's less than five bucks. If you are expecting a gadget to save the world or solve all your problems, you'll probably be disappointed. But if you want something small & cool that fits in your pocket and will engage a kid for a few minutes, or start a conversation, you really can't go wrong.
