i bought this for a sensory toy for a memory care unit at my work. the residents will carry it around and move the "spaghetti" around in their fingers. i wanted to see what all the fuss was about so i brought it to my desk one day and found myself playing with it while on the phone. it actually is quite relaxing, especially when you feel you need to be moving but have a stationary task to be completed. i would buy it again.

I ordered the Spaghetti Ball on a whim, while I was searching for a new Koosh. I'd never seen it before and I though it was worth a try. It is just as fun as a Koosh ever was! The "tentacles" are slightly slimier than a Koosh, but nothing near as slimy as the squishy balls I've seen at Walgreens. My 3-y-o who has sensory processing disorder didn't mind the mild sliminess, and he won't play with playdoh. We've had a lot of fun this morning, swinging, bouncing, throwing it, and wearing it on our heads like a wig! The only negative is that if you swing the ball by just one or two strands, the strands will break, but that's no big surprise. I gave it a 3 for educational value, b'c I was really surprised that my little boy who is usually so sensitive about textures and sliminess would play with it. I thought for sure that he would drop it as soon as he felt it. He was excited to try it out, but when I gave it to him, he looked at it funny--like he wasn't too sure about this thing--but then he started to bounce it. I feel like it has value for introducing kids to new textures, and will be good for language stimulation.
