I purchased this for my one-year-old son a toy to keep his attention on a trip to Fort Bliss. If you intend to use it in public without annoying everyone around you, put a little tape over the speakers on the back. It is a very loud toy! I happened to forget it in the car when we got to the airport, so I'm not sure how well it would have worked on planes. However, for the price it's a great little toy for the little ones growing up in this newer generation of smart phones, tablets, and electronics everywhere! I probably would have rated this a long time ago, but I would say the pushing and prodding from the company to get ratings and reviews was overkill, and rather off-putting. I do like the product, though!
