I actually ordered this same globe from e-bay for $100 less than the listed price on Amazon. I don't care for cord hanging down from the bottom of the globe though, (see pics I shared) and would have opted for one that was not lighted if i knew there would be a hanging cord. Otherwise its beautiful. Comes in one big box and you simply screw the legs onto the base. Took all of 2 minutes.

This was a gift for my moms birthday. She wanted to see and locate all the places she's read about. ( at 86 she's not a web surfer) and the light makes it even better.
No cons she loves it.
