I don't know what happened with the other person that left a review of this guitar, but the one we got was great. It plays nicely and sounds good and is a real value for the price. As with any instrument, they should not be abused and you need to teach your child to take good care of it. Having done this, we found this guitar to hold up and play just fine and a good lesson for responsibility as well.

I bought this guitar for a neighbor's grandson who asked Santa for one but his dad or grandparents could not afford to get him one! It gave me great joy when he opened the box on Christmas morning!

Anyone who complains about this should really remember how much they payed for it. It's a cheap beginners or take anywhere guitar. You aren't paying for a Gibson or Fender guitar. I do recommend replacing the strings as they are very cheap.

The guitar is great and pretty color. We also ordered a shoulder strap but this guitar is missing a button to attach the strap to. So great guitar but doesn't work with a guitar strap.

Unfortunately, this guitar was not durable for a 7 year old enthusiast. The minute he sat down to play it the first time, it started to fall apart. He was so excited to practice from the book we bought, but it never stayed tuned. We spent a lot of time tuning and fixing. Now it lives under a bed. Moms: not worth it... at ALL!
