She's completely in love with anything creepy, crawly and edgy and she's not even a teen yet. She already had the smaller versions, so she was ecstatic to get the large one. I had no idea the scarabs were so fast, but the best part is how they can flip themselves from their backs. I admit, not only did this earn me 'best aunt' but we both had fun playing with it. It walked equally well over carpet and tile and was responsive without any delay in the remote control. Very cool toy!

My son saved up his own money to purchase this and has been watching for sales. Purchased this used/returned from Amazon at $10 discount. It arrived in original packaging but isn't his favorite color but he is happy. He loves playing with it and attaching lego guys to get bucked off. His younger brothers watch and run around it while it crawls around. Crawls on floors and rugs just as well. Did get some feedback on the baby monitor when it is running but great entertainment. Takes 3 AAA in scarab and one 9V in remote.

We got this for our 9 year old daughter's birthday. The box came damaged, which was disappointing. Still worked ok.

Both my 9 year old and 5 year old love this. It's a little noisy on wood floors, but that's part of the fun I guess.
