I like the concept of a protective case for my daughter to use with her leappad. However, this particular case leaves a lot to be desired.

There is no way to secure the leappad into the case. There is a recess that the device rests in, but it doesn't hold the leappad securely. On multiple occasions, my daughter has tried opening the case herself only to have the leappad slip out of the case and bounce on the floor. Avoiding damage was why we bought the case -but the lack of a mechanism to secure the device reduces this things efficacy.

I was ready to order this case for my sons leappad but after looking at one in store it seemed very cheap and lacked padding/protection. The zipper was also difficult to use. I'm not sure if my 3 year old would be able to do it without help. I found a better and much cheaper alternative. I bought a lands end lunch bag. It was the perfect size (slightly larger, but right ratio length/width) and has a pocket on the inside top for cartridges. It offers more padding and protection. After promo code was only $3.50. Can't beat that!

I'll keep it simple: it's sturdy BUT the zipper is a disaster waiting to happen. You may be one of the lucky ones, but why chance it?

From one parent to another, go with Universal Transporter Carrying Case for 3DS, DS Lite, DSi and DSi XL Pink. The separator insert in the console slot can be taken out and the LeapPad fits snugly when placed sideways. It holds the LeapPad games too and is the first game case I've found that should hold all of the accessories too. My daughter and I couldn't be happier!

This is a very nice accessory for your Leappad. It is NOT pink it is totally purple, which is great for my daughter :)

The price currently on here is unnecessary, wait until after the holidays when it comes down to retail price of seventeen dollars. We also have the gel skin and the Leappad fits in this case with the gel skin on and the extra games and stylis in there. It only holds 6 games however; there is no room for more. We currently own 6 games already, so now we either put the extras in something else or don't buy anymore cartridge games. I also hear from other people that their zippers broke easily. We have not had any problems. yet.

I brought this for my 5 year old's leappad that He got for Christmas. I had read the reviews on this and alot of them were negative about how the zipper didn't hold up well and how the leappad would fall out when opened. I also brought the leappad gel skin and the leappad fits in super tight and does not fall out. I even shook the case and the leappad didn't move.LeapFrog LeapPad Gel Skin (Green)

The gel skin also helps protect the leappad when it gets drops. But you do have to take the gel skin off when changing out batteries.
