I got about 7 different experiments to do at my son 7th birthday party. The inta worms experiment was not the funnest but it was not the worst either. I also bought some inst snow which is made by the same company and that was a big hit (that may be because it was May in the middle of Florida). We did this at a school science night and the kids thought it was cool. The teacher tried to explain why it was happening but the kids don't care at this point. The school had atomic worms which are neon yellow and I think glow under UV but opted for the blue ones. They are a little bit cheaper. My son used this as part of his miscellaneous add on for his science fair project. His table was the busiest of all. Thanks to his UV light experiment, dry ice and Instant Worms.Calcium Chloride is mixed with 1 cup of warm water. Stir until dissolved. It will result into a cloudy solution. That's it and you are ready for the show. You can also re-use it as long as you keep it in a covered bottle. A little learning curve is required to produce nice long worms. Instead you will end up with uneven thickness and seaweed like strands. Press the bottle a little firmly to make nice long worms.
Cons:
Calcium chloride is only good for 1 cup of water. It gets blue so fast by the time you get halfway of the goo bottle and about half is gone with so many hands dipping their fingers.
