I looked at a number of musical items for my grandson who was having his first birthday. I decided to buy all Hohner products as soon as I saw that they are ALL "...BPA and phthalate free!" I'm very concerned about the toxins that are in many children's products and was thrilled to find a company that doesn't use them.

We bought one pair for our one year old twin girls and they loved them. They were the perfect size for the hands and they really like to shake them. The rattling noise is soft, not too loud. They also enjoyed the feel of the handle for teething. They started to fight over them so we ordered a second pair.

I bought this for a 16 month old boy. They are a good size for his hands, and he loves shaking them and dancing. They just aren't a good value for the price can easily be found for a couple bucks at a toy store.
