This is the first build-your-own-robot type of toy/product my son has tried and he just love, love, LOVES it. Bought it for his birthday and he had it assembled in like 30 minutes. We love knex and the addition of a motor that can make things move is a win win for my creative kiddo. Highly reccomend this and will be purchasing more of the robots in this series.

I bought a few of these for my 6-year old daughter, who loves k'nex and robots. These seemed like the perfect combination, and they are. Her little fingers have a hard time slipping the "full size" k'nex into the smaller pieces, but other than that, she did a great job following the instructions (entirely in pictures, so no reading barrier here) and building the bot. The pieces do fall off fairly easily with play, but that just means you get to rebuild it again, which is half the fun. We haven't tried combining the bots yet, but we already have lots of ideas for using the motor in other projects, which means this toy has added a lot of value to the k'nex sets we already own.
