I bought these for my friends son who turned one. Before we gave them as gift, my daughter and I read them to see what they were like. They were really cute. The added tail adds something extra that some feel and learn books don't offer; makes it that much more fun!!

If I were an owl is a great book. If I were a giraffenot nearly as interesting with respect to the textures or storyline. My 11 month old daughter does like the tail attached to the book... And it's sturdy so probably won't fall off. However my husband and i were disappointed with the lack of creativity relative to the owl Book. Besides the tail, my daughter doesn't care for it much either.
