My 1 year old daughter absolutely LOVES this toy!!! She takes the bones out and then puts them all back in over and over for hours on end! The rubbery bones make great teethers, but they are fairly small so if your child sucks on things I would be hesitant to give them these. My daughter just chews on them and I watch her closely. I love that this will grow with my daughter too as a great learning toy. I plan to have her feel and pull out the matching bone when she is a bit older. Overall an awesome learning toy!

My 23 month old is obsessed with this toy! It's bigger than it looks, but still great to bring to a restaurant. She lives sorting the puppy treats and putting them in and out of the box. I pretend I am the pup, making him "speak" to tell her how hungry I am and that I need a (blue, bumpy, fluffy, etc) biscuit and she tries to find it ( to tease me with?). Great quality and texture assortment!

This toy was purchased for the young children with autism with whom I work. It is perfect for teaching tactile matching. The surfaces are different enough from one another so that matching can occur without confusion. I also like the fact that the toy has as many parts as it does, which increases the number of responses that the child can make.

I am a preschool teacher, this will allow the children in a fun way to feel texture and also identify colors.

My toddler and infant both use this toy. My 9m old loves to reach into the dog house and find something inside. She finds the flaps appropriately frustrating and an obstacle to overcome; she would really like to see inside.

My toddler does not play with it independently. He needs someone guiding the activity and suggesting how to use it. Otherwise, he'd load the bones into a truck and drive away. He has little interest in the suggested games. He's quite capable of matching them, and pulling one out at a time requires patience. So effectively, the toy is too boring. He might develop an interest in it in the future. But we do talk about textures, colors, soft vs hard, etc. for a few minutes when I work with him.

The quality is not the best; hence the loss of a star. The flaps on the dog house are skewed. We received it with one flap so offset that a corner was out along the edge. I think my 9m old managed to pull another flap out of the edge as well. And, as others have mentioned the size of the dog is comical. The bones were a little smaller than I had expected too, but still large enough.
