The item is not as pictured. It is the same yellow board, but the numbers are on square tiles, not cubes. Also there are only 3 colors versus the multiple ones pictured. 100 white tiles with the numbers on them and 25 blue translucent tiles and 25 red translucent tiles. It also comes with a small booklet giving some ideas on how to use the product. I am still pleased with the product but would have definitely preferred the one pictured versus the one I received. The cubes would be easier for my son (who is 4) to work with. Sometimes the tiles stick into the slot and are a bit difficult for a child to get out.

On another note:

The seller is wonderful. I was away on vacation when it was initially delivered and it was returned to sender, but he promptly resent it. I would definitely do business with the seller again.

This hundreds board does not come with the cubes as shown, instead it comes with number tiles 1-100 and 50 transparent colored tiles (25 red and 25 blue). This was exactly what I wanted, so I'm glad I read the previous reviews. My problem is with the quality of the product. I'm not sure if it was stored incorrectly, but the entire board is warped. The corners lift off the table completely so it doesn't lay flat. Everytime you try to place a tile on the board, it starts spinning around. I've always been impressed with Learning Resources products, so I was really disappointed with the quality of this one. It';s made of heavy duty plastic, so I'm not sure how it became so badly damaged. It doesnt seem like a shipping issue, so I'm guessing it was poorly stored for awhile or a manufacturing fluke. I do love the qualities of this board:

* recessed squares for each tile

* double sided (numbered on one side and blank on the tile)

* includes transparent tiles for visually representing number patterns and skip counting

* solid plastic tiles and board (if you get a flat one!)

* endless source of learning (be sure to check out some of the great hundreds board extensions books)

For all of the reasons above, I'm going to try for a replacement and keep my fingers crossed that we get a good one the next time around.

I bought this to teach numbers to my 2 1/2 year old. He loves the number tiles and the translucent tiles, and as we "play" with it, he is learning to identify 2-digit numbers. Mine is exactly as the Amazon user has pictured above tiles and not cubes. We have not had too much trouble getting the tiles out of the board spaces.

Honest reviews on Hundreds Number Board

Some pieces get stuck into the board and take a lot of coaxing to get out. But otherwise very study construction.

I read the other reviews before purchasing this item, so I was aware that it was not exactly as pictured. The board I received came with flat tiles rather than cubes. (I do see a pic of what I receivedit is just not the main photo listed. There are white numbered tiles, and then translucent blue and red tiles.) However I think it would be a little easier to use if it did come with blocks instead of tiles. The tiles are sometimes a little difficult to get out of the board. My kids usually end up flipping the whole board over to get the tiles out (and then sometimes we have to search for tiles that land under furniture.) The board is a tiny bit warpedit bows out in the middle. I'm not sure whyit was like that when we received it, but I didn't feel it was a big enough problem that I needed to return it.

Overall, this has been a valuable tool in helping my children learn to recognize numbers.
