Review of Hooked on Phonics Hooked on Pre-K Complete Learning Kit

I ordered this for my 4-year old, I thought I'd give him a head start before kindergarden. When I recieved the package, I opened it up and was impressed with how much product was in there: workbooks, cards, cd-roms, postersa ton of stuff. The only thing I didn't like was that there wasn't a very detailed lesson plan/instruction sheet for the parents. It kind of glossed over exactly how you are supposed to teach it to your child. Which is why I ordered it in the first placeI have found that reading and writing are hard for me to break down into simple terms, you do it so long, you forget how you learned it in the first place! But I improvised and used the things they had in there to make up games and things for him to do. Now he points out the letters he knows whenever he sees them. So, I'd give it 4 stars for the product amount for the money, and 2 stars for the instructionswe'll say 3 stars for the average (see, hooked on phonics worked for me too!)

This is a wonderful product. I couldn't believe how much stuff came in the box! I bought this for my four year old to sharpen her skills for Kindergarten and she LOVES it!
