Just what I wanted something that walks you through basic soldering. Soldering iron is ok I have feeling that if I to continue with soldering I would outgrow it pretty fast and would look for something better. But works fine for occasional projects. Replacement soldering tip is hard to find, but possible. I did not have need to change it yet so maybe it is non issue. Comes with 5 pages booklet, with basic instructions, so don't expect detailed manual with best practices and all. Overall worth $$ I think.
