These are little spheres that grow, when placed in a dish of water, to about the size of a little larger than chick peas. Perfect for a nine year old boy with an older sister! My son wanted this so badly, but it was so close to Christmas that I doubted it would deliver on time. Now, he's pretty much figured out that I'm Santa, but he still likes to play the game, so I told him "Santa" was finished collecting gifts for everyone and it probably would't happen. But I went online the next day and ordered it and, lo and behold, it delivered less than a week later. He is very happy and his sister is being very nice to him.Very awesome product for all ages. My kids love these things, and its hours of playtime every time we play! Will buy more and more once they break them or ruin them!
