My son, who is 2 years 3 months, is obsessed with buckles, so my cousins got him this toy for Christmas. He is quite delighted with it! I need to undo the buckles for him, but he loves snapping them back together and is becoming more adept at it. The color-coding reduces frustration, and he also likes zipping the zipper pocket on Bucky's shell up and down. Overall, a clever, cute, and useful toy.

So we've only had this a few days so far, but my buckle obsessed 16 month old hardly puts down her new little turtle. She's figured out how to buckle some of the easier buckles and seems to be starting to understand that she needs to match up the colors. At this point, I leave two of more difficult buckles on the belly closed so that she doesn't get too frustrated and to make it more obvious for her which buckles match up. I hope the toy holds up over time, as I can see her giving this little guy quite a workout. The lining on the pocket on the back could be better, it's too loose and gets stuck with she attempts to zip it up. And a couple of the buckles could use just a little more slack in my opinion. But all in all quite satisfied and was not surprised by those couple of shortcomings, as other reviews had warned me of those.

My toddler asks for Bucky by name. She plays with him for long stretches of time (20+ minutes, which is a long time for a toddler). He's cute, cuddly and entertaining and even though he says to spot wash him, I threw him in the washer and he came out fine.
