my son will be three very soon and he will love this for his birthday. i though it was a bit expensive for what it is (colored play dough with debris) but he will enjoy it and that is what truly matters.

Bought this for a toddler who loves dinosaurs. The poop is basically play-doh with plastic "plants" in it. It has a play-doh smell, not terribly strong, just enough that she will hold it to her nose & then giggle because she can smell the "poop".

In my opinion, it is a great open-ended toy, as long as the child knows not to eat the parts, and is old enough to understand the difference between play poop & real poop.
