My mother had me order this for my 6yr old. They played with it very often and still do some of the "experiments" quite often. He especially enjoys the stethoscope they made but the balloon didn't last very long before it broke. Easily replaced. Some of the projects were messy, at least for a 6yr old boy but over all it was a great buy. They had lots of fun and my son learned a lot. My mom had some old encyclopedias around the house that helped answer a lot of the questions he had and went into much more detail. Just something to keep in mind, there will be lots of questions :)A very very big hit with my 6 year old! He has been having a blast doing all the experiments.
