Be prepared to really whack this thing. My boyfriend and I took a crowbar and used it as a chisel with a hammer to gouge a line all the way around the rock. When we hit it on top in one spot after that, it cracked perfectly in half!
Ours was filled with beautiful smoky quartz crystals! I will definitely be buying more of these in the future, they are way cool to crack open and put on display. The size and quality were totally impressive in my opinion!great learning experience. Found great crystals. Will definately purchase this project again. By the way, the geodes make great room ornaments.
