This item works pretty well. The clock and date are pretty easy to set. It even seems to work in low light/office settings. I think it would make a creative gift.

I received the item very quickly. It took no set up, accept for removing a piece of plastic from where the battery is located (I'm assuming this is for the clock portion). The blades started spinning the second I removed it from the box. Looks great! & It doesn't have the logo on it like it does on the picture, which I was very happy about as well. It has a solar panel on 3 sides.

Not very cost effective, but super cool.

Cute device with clock and thermometer that work well. The wind turbine rotation speed is not as fast as a real wind turbine, but realistic in its own way. It resembles a wind turbine in a semi-feathered or parked mode, turning about 3 rpm. It will captivate gadget oriented office visitors.

I got this for my boyfriend for Christmas since he is an engineer. He loves it and it is a conversation piece on his desk! It spins either direction and even spins slowly in dimmer office light. Cute and creative gift!

After reading other reviews I understood that the turbine would not be moving in a fast pace. In direct sunlight the turbines would move. Unfortunately I only got about five months out of it before it stopped working altogether. The clock works but that runs on batteries.
