I bought this for my grandson (who is 6) to learn some "old games" that grandma played. Yes, you usually play outside, but this brings the game indoors when you can't go out. It came with some marbles and has the largest play mat I could find anywhere. Some games have a mat 16" square or less, but this one gives you plenty of space. I would of liked a bigger container so extra marbles could fit in, but we hunted around and found one with plenty of room for everything. Now he can add his own choice of marbles. There's so many out there! I didn't realize that there are even adult marble tournaments going on. My grandson seems to enjoy it (especially when he wins).

Purchased to play with grandson, aged 7. Husband didn't play marbles as a kid, so had to work with them both on it. Is well packaged and is a strong physical skill builder, and social skills builder, absent with the proliferation of video games.

The idea is good, but the old fashion dirt circle gives everyone an equal disadvantage. This was nice for indoor play.

Great for the kids and I enjoyed playing with them. On time & packaged very well. Great marbles too, already had to wash the mat and cleaned up perfect, A little ironing and let the games begin. Would purchase another if this one ever wears out.

Came in good shape, unopened. It was a gift and I did not open it but I wonder if the folded up mat would lay flat to use. Comes in a neat plastic storage container.
