I rated Fun, Educational, Durability for the reader this is a great toy as for the power adapter it works great needed if your tired of changing batteries.

When an adapter specifies that it converts 120v to 9v and then gets fried when plugged into a 220v socket, I wonder if it's the adapter that is really defective? I own the same adapter and it works fine when plugged into a power source with the proper voltage.
