Santa brought this youth drum set for our 7 year old grandson. Every unit was fairly easy to put together. It took my husband & I about 1 1/2 hours to unpack, sort the parts, look over the instructions and assemble. There were one extra screw of each size which was nice to have down the road. We put together a professional kit about 15 years ago so we did have a little knowledge about drum kits. This kit is awesome you can not beat the price and the quality of the instruments are 'very good for the value. Grant you it''s not professional grade but you are not spending thousand plus dollars for a beginners kit! I'm sure that if my grandson sticks with playing we'll be buying a professional kit in about 10 years like we did with our son. You can't go wrong with this purchase! Suggest that you place the kit on a non skid area rug to keep the kit from moving while the child hammers away! Oh yea and some ear plugs for yourself! lol

I couldn't believe the entire drum set fit into a relatively small box, the packing was excellent, the assembly was simple. This is not a fancy full size set but as advertised it is an excellent starter set and an amazing value for the price !
