I would love to have a set of classic large unit blocks, but alas, apartment living doesn't allow for that. These blocks are not large, but they're the right size to build structures for matchbox-sized vehicles, wooden trains and Little People figures, so they work fine for my 2.5yo son. I like the colors-they have a modern feel, and the blue and red allow for the police station and fire house obsessions to be realized. I like that there are natural wood blocks as well-there is something very satisfying about the feel of smooth natural wood. I'm thinking of buying a second set when he's a bit older and designing more complex structures. Classic, lasting toy, good price, highly recommended.

I was looking for a nice wooden blocks for my son (11 months old). I decided to buy this one because "manufacturer recommended age: 13 months 5 years". I ordered. When they arrived only I can see is huge label " not for a children under 3" :(

I kept it, it was christmas gift and didn't have time to look for different kind. I seperated the small blocks and I hide them. Instead of 100 blocks, he got maybe 50. It's plenty for him but I'm still disappointed about wrong information.

Oh and you can buy it for $13 in walmart

I love the colors and the feel of the blocks. So much fun already with my little nephew. I guess I didn't read closely enough on the description because I thought they were made in the US but they are designed in the US and made in China. That's kinda disappointing.

I love the modern colors of this set. The number of blocks in the set is perfect for building a castle. The sizes of the blocks are small enough for the little hands, but not too small to worry about becoming a choking hazard. I only had to put aside several small triangle blocks from the entire set for my 13mo boy who still puts everything in his mouth. .

The only downside is that the paint started chipping on the corners on some of the blocks after several weeks. This is our first set, so I'm not sure if this is a normal wear and tear. Overall we are happy with the product.

I still can't believe the price on these blocks! Yes, they are smaller than the plain block set you might get from M&D, but they are perfect for us and the size of our home. My girls (4.5 and 2) can build cities that are intricate and interesting, but don't take up the entire living room. My 4.5 year old builds cities, castles, you name it and my 2 year old mostly just stacks them up and knocks them down, but both thoroughly enjoy them. And you absolutely can't beat the price on these love them!!
