very good mechanical construction (metal, glass)
has high end features (100x oil immersion objective, condenser, iris diaphram, good mechanical stage)
Criticisms
marketed on Amazon as a doctor/vet/medical student microscope, but manual that comes with microscope says primary/middle school microscope.
optics are great for home applications, but may not be on par for medical applications
However, customer service is very helpful, and Amscope site does list this as a high end home microscope (which is the purpose I bought it for).
