it works when you have strong sun light. It may work at home if you have a powerful enough light, you need to place it very close to the light source though.

This is an awesome toy. Really awesome! My kids all three love it, little and big alike. This little grasshopper keeps going and going so long as he has his sunlight. He has jumped and wiggled across the yard, the room and the driveway. I am honestly amazed that with as little as I paid, it is still going and not broke 3 weeks later.

This is a huge WIN and I am think more people should check them out!

Oh and my only suggestion would be that they include a little printout about solar power with it, though it was easy enough for us to google :)

It's a simple cheap toy. The solar circuit did disconnect at one point, but re-clicking it in place restored the contacts. It's a token novelty item.
