My Kindergarten son loves to play this game. He isn't interested in reading books but he loves to read the words I make on the white squares.
The creator of the game (Ms. Cox) gave me the idea of having him read one page in his book at each white square. He loves it. It's not such a chore to do a page at a time with lots of fun activities in-between.
Ms. Cox is so accessible. If you ask her a question she gets right back to you. She sent me to her webpage that
lists examples of how to expand the game beyond phonics ().
It's also for the whole family. My 3rd grade daughter plays the game with my son using her spelling words.
I highly recommend this game!
