I would give this item a 5 stars rating, but the clave I received were tradictional clave not African clave.

African clave have a hole drill on both size, and are about a foot foot long, the one I received weren't neither

Beautifully crafted sound, workmanship and appearance. Arrived in a timely manner considering it is the holiday season. However, not happy that African Instruments are being manufactured in Thailand. Excellent for Thailand, not so good for Africa and the tradition of African Instruments.

Just a beginner on the Clave. The Gon Bops African Clave with Beater sounds Awesome. It may be a few dollars more than others but well worth the price. It produces numerous different sounds.... Each one sharp and distinct. I really like them.
