I've been looking for an authentic looking human skull reproduction for use as a photographic prop. Realism and scale are the two most important factors. I did buy a couple of the smaller scale versions available through different sellers, and they are great looking, but too small for use with normal sized sets and models (people). Reading the various reviews and looking at the various photos of what is available, one has to take a chance and hope for the best. Being on a budget, I can't afford the $100 plus repros which sound anatomically correct. But this one is a genuine find! The scale is correct, the detail is wonderful. Holding it in my hand, it looks and feels real enough to use as a photo prop, as a party prop, and as an educational tool for all but the most critical of anatomy classes. The resin feels good, and hopefully will be sturdy over time. At this point I could not be happier with this buy. In fact, I intend to order another that I can stain and "age".

A decent resin casting with good detail. Superior to the cheap plaster or injection molded plastic skulls available elsewhere on Amazon. Good quality reproduction if you are on a budget (some of these skull replicas can be expensive!).

This is a really terrific skull for a great price. I've been looking for just the right skull for years now and have bought and returned more plastic Halloween skulls than I care to admit. This one is a cast resin skull with all the requisite openings. The mandible is attached (glued on discretely) and the whole thing is a uniform ochre/yellow color. I sanded a few spots from the casting, snapped off the mandible, drilled out three teeth and a cavity, painted it with lighter white-ish tones and refinished the teeth, complete with clear enamel nail polish. It was easy to work with and looks amazing--could easily pass for the real thing in photos/plays, etc, and doesn't look like something out of a horror movie. An excellent prop with much potential. Easily transitions from still life to Halloween. I'm so happy.

An exact replica? No, this is not an exact replica. The teeth look like they were hack-sawed to shape, the teeth on the skull in the pictures look more believable that the teeth on the skull I received. This is somewhat minor since I will be using this as reference for paintings/art, so this will do. However if you intend to use this for teaching/anatomy expect to pay more than 4x the amount for a 3B Scientific Replica and $300+ for a real skull.

This skull appears to be made of some type of resin which I think gives it a more realistic look than plastic. Whoever did the cast mold for this didn't do a very good job. The brow is misshapen, Nasal cavities are weird looking and the eye cavities are too wide. I knew this wouldn't be an exact replica as the description states but this is a lot better than s Styrofoam one from the local mart--which you'd pay the same amount for.

I added pictures to show the teeth, you can clearly see that they look nothing like the product pictures.

I gave three stars because I like it even with the imperfections.

Oh and if you are curious this is made in China.

Yes, I'd buy this again.

I was amazed at the quality and detail of this product. You could spend up to $150 and not get a product this detailed, and I have. The shipping was fast and the item was packed well. I would and will do business with this company again.
