After reading other reviews and seeing it mentioned that these cards are sold at the dollar store, I decided to take a look before buying them online. Sure enough, the dollar store had them and quality wise they are only worth a dollar. The cards are very thin so they will rip and bend easily. Also, the graphics on the cards could be a lot better. I'm not familiar with any other brand to compare these to, but overall I'm not impressed. If they cost more than $1 I would not have bought them.

My 2 year old actually loves going through the cards and naming all of the pictures on the alphabet set. We're working on counting too, so she's beginning to count the cute pictures on that set too. Worth it!

My 19 month old son loves pointing out items in books that he recognizes and trying to say them. I knew flash cards were great for little ones development so I bought these. Before they even arrived, I saw the exact same ones at the Dollar Store... for $1. Urgh. I should have known! So go check out your local dollar store before buying these. But these aren't that expensive, so it isn't the end of the world if you spend the extra $5 on these.

These are hit or miss with my son right now. Some days he has the patience to sit and go through them with me, other days he just wants to play 52 card pick up with them. I am sure they will get more use as he gets older. Overall I am happy with the purchase, bc even the few times that we have been able to sit down and go through some words together, has made the purchase worthwhile.
