These cards make words meaningful for all readers, but are especially helpful for children with a reading/language disability. The cards allow you to teach words( reading and spelling) in a way that makes sense to the child. The detailed graphics are key in giving the child "something" to remember each word by. It's amazing to see the progress that can be made when materials are presented in a way that is silly and fun and the child can connect to. The cards are of great quality, however, the visual hints which the company chose to use do not always (easily) make sense to my students. I think it would be more effective to show the cards as a model and offer the opportunity to come up with their own visual clues. These cards are wonderful for all kids. A friend of mine needed cards for teaching English to children in Indonesia. I sent her these cards. They were wonderful tools for teaching bilingual children English words and spelling. An awesome product which is very durable also. Thanks for this wonderful teaching tool!!! God Bless you!
