I purchased this set for my baby (then 2 months) for Christmas and now at 5 months he is able to grasp and play with them. The vegetables make different noises. The carrot squeaks when pinched, the tomato jingles and the onion rattles, etc. Some of them are a little big for a young infant to grasp and right now my little guy mostly plays with the carrot (skinny enough for his little hands to hold) but I know he'll have fun with these as he grows and when he's a toddler he'll enjoy putting the veggies into the bag and carrying them around. I like that he's playing with veggies, we eat very healthy and plant a garden so anything to make him more familar with healthy eating habits is a plus in my books ;).
