Photo makes container look like a gallon size container, label shouts 288 words and punctuation marks! Reality? More like a quart-size jar with 114 plastic tiles, printed on both sides for a total of 228 words and marks (thirty short) and how would it be possible to use both sides at once? Disappointing to say the least; I had planned to use them with small groups to play a sentence building game.

Best Deals for Sentence Building Dominoes

I bought this for my sister's first grade class to teach sentence components and structure. Durable blocks and easy to handle with small hands. Made of plastic that can be soaked in bleach and water solution to disinfect after handling. Great items. Expect to get long-term usage. Delievery was fast and item was as expected. The container looks larger in the photo than it actually is. Would buy again.

When I first saw these Sentence Building Dominoes I was really excited because they looked nice and I just love anything that has to do with learning and with giving my children the tools to learn with. When we got it home and opened it I started to wonder. Okay, what now ? Just build sentences with the kids. So we started off kind of playing: Who can build the longest sentence with the dominoes? But after a while it got quite boring and we put it away and haven't played since. I think the idea of the dominoes is nice but it is missing something. Perhaps a book with some ideas on some games or maybe a workbook of some kind to use with the dominoes. Eventually, I'll come up with an idea to put it to good use, but as of yet I'm still working on it. I wouldn't recommend this sentence building domino.
