BIggest selling point of all... OUT OF THE BOX READY (minus batteries).
Every year we celebrate our daughters birthday at my mothers, she lives in the country were internet is not available what a disappointment the Leapster Explorer was compared to this. It required you to load games via internet to use it. We returned it and bought the Mobi Go instead. My Daughter loves it and she is only 3. It is a bit big for her hands but she is small for her age.
Love the games happy to find some games that are not indorse by Disney or Nickelodeon. We bough the MR. Men.
Highly recommend this item.

I bought a Mobigo for my 5 year old daughter 2 weeks ago. It is amazing. She loves it. It is easy to play and understand. We paid more than it costs right now online, and thought it was a great deal for a touch-screen computer device. One thing that is a little irritating: You can download games from online, but the games (up to 3 games) are held in a temporary memory. As soon as the child turns off the Mobigo or switches cartridges, the downloaded games are gone. In other words, you have to hook up the Mobigo to your computer every time your child wants to play one of the online games. (and then hope that they don't turn it off before they are finished)
One thing to be aware of if the Mobigo starts getting flashing lines all over the screen, it is a battery issue. Clean off the battery connections and replace the batteries. I thought our Mobigo was broken after a week didn't think to replace the batteries. I'm considering getting the AC adapter so that we don't go through batteries so quickly. Fresh batteries only lasted about 8-10 hours.

Thanks Vtech. Mobigo is the answers to my prayers. I purchased this toy for my 3 year old niece and she really loves it. SHe has become quite adept and attached to my mytouch slide and she always wants to play with it. When I came across this toy last week I had to get it. It has a touch screen and slide qwerty keyboard, just like my phone. Now she has her own touch screen and leave my phone alone. Its really fun and I enjoyed playing with it although it could not hold my attention as long. It comes with a cartride and some of the games are slightly hard for a three yr old but she'll figure it out soon.Pros: Frees my mytouch slide from my niece, educational, teaches children how to use touch screen and familiarizes them with qwerty keyboad, its tough and resiliant.
Cons: Touch screen is as not as responsive as I would like and sometimes I have a hard time drawing the lines. You have to press kind of hard. My niece finds this very frustrating and ends up asking me to do it for her. Really do not like that the cartride sticks out. I wish it was hidden away as it very tempting for my niece as she keeps taking it out.
Overall, this a great toy and I would highly recommend it to anyone with a smalll child. Especially a child that one leave your electronic devices alone.

I have purchased this item for both my grandchildren ages 5 and under. This was an amazing experience for my 5 year old autistic grandchild. It has given him self esteem and an opportunity to show to his family his intelligence. He has mastered 2 game discs in one month. He finds it a treat, greatly respects the unit and is eager to show everyone how intelligent he is.I would highly recommend this for any autistic child, the touch screen has increased his ability to draw and trace in certain games. We are amazed at his knowledge of the alphabet. Above, all he enjoys this to no end, giggles when playing at the sound effects and enjoys the challenge of the timed game.
Autism creates frustration for the child in being able to communicate that he is intelligent. The mobigo has enabled him to prove this at the early age of five.

My 4-yr old daughter received this as a Christmas gift, and it appears to be a solid system. It's built very well and has a nice screen. The selection of games appears to be fairly large, and generally cost less than the Leapster system she also owns. The minor "gotcha" is the design decision by Vtech to NOT include support for standard SD memory cards. It's not an issue unless you wish to download games from the web. Vtech's model is to allow you to download mini games for free for one year with the purchase of this unit. However, the catch is that the system only has RAM memory and does not save the games permanently, which is Vtech's way of selling their "game storage card" for $20, only available through their site. Without this card, you can only download up to 3 games on th system, which are lost as soon as you power off the unit. With the storage card, you can (as Vtech claims) store 30+ downloadable mini games which will stay saved on the card. I just ordered the card so we'll see how it works out.
All in all, this is a good system. My daughter really enjoys it and it seems to provide some educational value as well.
