I needed a microscope with coaxial illumination to inspect highly reflective silicon chips. I am no expert, but I have often used expensive brand-name microscopes (at a university) before for this task, and now I needed something similar, but more affordable at work. I was worried about the low price, but now after several months of use, I think I have not yet discovered any area where I was able to see a significant difference between this "budget" microscope vs. others that cost many times more. I am sure that there are quality differences in the end, it is just that I have not discovered them yet in normal use. Overall, this scope does its job well and it continues to impress me, especially given the price. I like the long working distance objectives. Only the moving range of the table feels a bit small.
