My 17 month old enjoys playing with the swing the most since the treehouse says "Weeee" in return to his actions. The problem is that the slighestest movement activates the swing's sayings even when my son is playing with another feature. This can really be annoying to both of us. In the "Learning mode" the swing uses the sayings of "up & down". To him, it is more of a side-to-side action. As for the hopscotch and learning about the animals, he does enjoy pushing the large sized buttons to hear its corresponding color and number. He doen't seem too interested in learning about the animals, yet. This toy is something children can grow with. An infant would take delight in the lights and animals. My son likes to take the shape-sorter off of the base to play with the shapes(it is REALLY easy to take off. I like that the music is soft on the ears. There are so many interactive things on the toy but as of right now, he really likes using the 8 oversize animals on his other toysets.Friday, May 9, 2014
Best 1-2-3 Treehouse - V.Smile SmartVille Imaginative Play Deals
My one year old son does play with this toy, but it annoys me. The shape sorter holes are vertical and it is awkward for him to fit the shapes in. We typically turn the treehouse on its back to play with the shape sorter or he removes sorter piece altogether from the base. Every time the treehouse moves, the swing moves, so you constantly hear "up & down, up & down." It comes with 8 animals. My son definitely loves the animals, however he thinks the owl looks like a chicken and the goose is a duck (very hard to tell the difference). The toy attempts to be interactive by asking you to find the "skunk," for instance. I finally figured out how to answer it. You must gently place the animal in one of the two bases. If you press down, while placing it into the base, it will give you other information about that animal (I have a stripe or I like to be smelly). There is a hopscotch keypad with the numbers 1 through 10 on the colorful buttons. The toy asks what your favorite number is. I have yet to figure out how to answer. When I push a button on the keypad it says the corresponding color, not the number. There is a button on the television; my son loves to push it and hear the "Smartville Treehouse melody" over and over. Also, there are six shapes in the tree. Each has a corresponding nursery rhyme; however it doesn't sing the whole rhyme. Personally, I think there are better toys available, but he does play with it and seems to like it.
