We used this as part of a party favor for a 1-year-old birthday party. They are slightly larger than other egg shakers and seemed safer than the smaller ones for this age group. We kept about 4 for ourselves and they are still in good shape 4 months later. No cracking even though our toddler has thrown them across the room a few times. Our daughter will still crawl across the room to shake one of these when she spots them in the midst of her toys.

These jumbo shakey eggs are great, kids scramble to get them! The jumbo eggs are a bit too large to fit through a toilet paper tube, making them an unlikely choking hazard, and the packaging is marked "for all ages." They are just large enough to make them a much safer alternative (over the standard sized shakey egg) for very young kids. We gave 2 of these to our toddler about 6 months ago, and we are now ordering more to make half a dozen.
