I had been reading reviews for all the differents brands of adhesive putty because i was looking to put glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling of my room and i wanted something that would stick for a long time. I also wanted a white putty because i had started to use the blue stuff and the blue stuff would show through the star when it was put up and it just looked bad. That's when i found the UHU tac and it's been everything I've wanted it to be! I've had the stars up now for a couple months and not a one has fallen down yet! Also, my room is very large and the amount of putty that i received was WAYYY enough to cover the entire room. I'll be sticking with UHU if i ever need to put up my glow-in-the-dark stars. :)

I do agree that that putty tac melds together... The perforated "squares" intended as a portion just aren't there... but I use this stuff to hold pic frames in place after I level them (can't stand a pic that's crooked!).... Wall clock gets a glob behind it too, on the outer edge (wallside)... Nobody can see it, and an earthquake won't allow the frames to budge... Buying more today!... take a small blob, forget the "square portion", who cares, nobody sees it... If you remove the Tac, which I did on every frame when I moved, pull it slowly... Every bit comes off, but NOT the paint ... I have a mini USB port box that needs 'anchored', which is why I need more... plus some for an unlevel table & china on top 'moves' to edge... So I will place a blob on the higher, unlevel side, underneath....walla! ... Maybe poster ppl weren't using enough?... It takes a bit, but Tac is good for so many things!... Agreed NOT for a hot car, or in direct heat or cold source ... most homes have a comfy temp, mine is 80 degrees in summer without problems of melt

These were a recomendation by my sister in law. And I would totally recommend it to anyone who has posters or such. It is delicate to both the poster and the wall.

UHU Tac is essentially what they advertise themselves to be. A replacement for thumbtacks. Each of the 80 pads accounts for about the strength of one thumbtack. I have been able to hang large posters, medium posters, and small posters with them. For 3.39 I consider this a steal. They are also dermatologically tested, leave no wall marks, and are reusable if you really need to reuse them. You just need to knead til soft for them to activate. It is similar to the blue sticky stuff that you find. These can be preserved for a long time in the plastic film that they come in, so do not throw that out. Also, it is made in Germany and you know Germans can made good stuff.

You probably need 8 tacs for a larger poster, 6 for a medium one, and 4 for a smaller one so keep that in mind.

I got this for hanging glow in the dark stars, etc on my sons ceiling. This stuff works great! We have popcorn ceilings and nothing likes to stick to it for more than a few hours...until now! The stars have been stuck to his ceiling for almost a week with no problems at all. This product is definitely worth it!
