My daughter is 11 months old and giggles and squeals in delight with this toy. The one drawback is that she is pulling her self up and when she does that on this toy it falls over. If the toy falls over while it is on then the balls will shoot out at you. It is kind of funny but not really if it hits your kid. This is a hilarious toy and I highly recommend it.

My daughter got this toy for Christmas and generally it's a lot of fun for her. She likes the music and the balls popping up, even my husband gets in on the playing action but I hate the fact that the balls go flying all over the place and I am forever hunting them down. It's not a toy that my daughter can play with while I cook dinner because the balls go everywhere and then the "magic" is gone. Also, we sometimes have the balls going back up the ramp instead of out the top. I'm not sure I would buy it for someone else given the balls going everywhere.

We bought this toy again for our new little one. From the time she could just watch the balls go everywhere til she could chase them and put them back in, it is just a fun toy. Pros: The music is fast and exciting and not to annoying. It gives my two older children a way in which to really 'play' with their little sister. The only drawback is that my dog loved the ballgame also and we think ate the balls. I am not sure on that one. : ) Cons: No replacement balls. I haven't found a way to just order balls for this machine so after you lose the balls it is just a musical air machine (which still seems to amuse her and her father). But I have tried the yellow nerf balls to go in there which works okay but need to try wiffle golf balls next. Overall: It is a fun toy and for uner $20 I should probably ignore the principal and just buy another one.

I got this for my 14mo old twin girls. They absolutely LOVE this toy. They will sit for a good 20 min at a time playing with it. Once they learned to chase after the occasional fly ball I no longer had to. On the occasion I do find random toys dropped down the tube but are easy enough to fall out when held upside down.
The toy has a blower so it does make a bit of noise. Combined with the music it can be distracting but it's not obnoxious.
It's good constuction plastic. Solid. And even with twins fighting over who gets the next ball it doesn't knock over easily.
Overall, great product and would definitely recommend to a friend.

I agree with almost all of the reviews I've seen about this ball popper. It is a fun way to play with my 16 month old, the music is slightly louder than I would like but varied and cheerful enough that I don't mind yet, chasing stray balls gets a little annoying if you little one isn't into fetching them herself. If you're worried about the warning "Contains small parts, only for children over the age of 3", the only thing I can figure out they must mean is the screw that holds the battery compartment closed my 16 month old can't work a screwdriver, so she's not going to be getting ahold of it and choking on it any time soon! Probably the most frustrating thing about this is that the air pressure changes intermittently. This may be why some people have noted that the air isn't strong enough to move the balls. The pressure randomly changes from strong enough to pop the balls high enough they may get loose, just enough to pop out of the top, just enough to get a ball stuck in the top, or not enough to move the balls at all. When the pressure gets to its low point, it seems to get stuck there you can't wait for it to pick up again. Luckily, there is usually a ball stuck near the mouth of the chute to go down if it stalls, I just push a ball through that entrance (bottom of the slide) and that usually tips it into a higher pressure mode and you're on your way again. I have to do this about once per minute or 2. Also of note, pressing the plunger multiple times adds time to the engine if it's already going, so you don't have to wait for it to run its cycle and turn off before hitting it again. I usually pump it 4-5 times every 2 minutes. There are some balls from other toys that look very similar and so they will work, but they seem slightly heavier so you get low-pressure problems more often.
