I love this stuff!! I've had several tins of Crazy Aaron's "regular" Thinking Putty and love it as well. You don't get quite as much in this tin as you do with the regular putty, and this is a little softer, which is, I think, the point. They have a great little video that shows it in action on their website here: They say to make whatever you want, but hurry because your critter will start to "melt" soon, enabling you to make another and another.
I saw the other review where the reviewer said the eyes weren't attached to anything. Well, of course not, that's the point! It's so you can make whatever you want and put the eyes where you want them....over and over again.
My elderly parents love the putty...in fact, they use it to keep their hands strong. My 5 year old godchild plays with it two or three times a week, whenever she is at the house. She has no trouble with it, either. We've got several tins at home, and we've given probably a dozen or more as gifts, and everyone has always totally enjoyed it. That's what the folks are getting for Christmas this year too :)
In summary, this is a great product for any age. My only minor complaint is that it is a little on the expensive side, but it's several dollars less on Amazon than at the manufacturer's website, and for something that has been used as much as we use it, it's really worth every penny.

Ordered just for something fun. Ordered pink and blue in my next order. Fun for adults and kids as well.

I ordered this as a desk toy for my college-age son, thinking it would be, well, putty. That name implies to me that the stuff would be rather soft and pliable. It is not. It's much more firm than I expected, and takes quite a bit of kneading before it can be molded. The two eyes are not attached to the putty in any way. You just stick them somewhere, and they might or might not stay put. It does slowly 'flow' when left alone, and it's not sticky. It just was not as much fun as I expected, and was rather expensive, too. If you want something to play with, get some old-fashioned silly putty instead.
