I got these for my son's homeschooling and I couldn't be more pleased with these little cards. They come scored in 2-3 rows of 7 cards, but you don't even have to take them apart since they are scored so perfectly. This are VERY sturdy, thick and have a very nice laminate surface. It's nice that you can store them in the same box they come in, but I personally think the box could've been smaller to provide more storage possibilities, but this box still fits nicely in my plastic drawer cart. These are 3x3 so they fit on some hundreds pocket charts(the bigger ones). Also the pictures on the cards are bright and cute, it doesn't look like they don't fit or tilted, this set even has 2 long pictures made of several cards(5-7 I think) and they align perfectly, love that the cards are double sided wich saves you from having a mess of cards! And those little apple trees are the cutest thing!!
Im definitely buying the other card sets from this brand.
Delivery was fast and product was in excellent condition!

I bought this to go with the pocket chart and it is great to see the kids enjoying making their own things. My almost 5 yr old would match the fraction number with the diagram, grouping shapes and colors and numbers in different piles when cleaning up, etc..
The great thing about this is that it allows you to do many things with different age group. You can also do counting using numbers and diagrams together (number recognition for preschool), you can do shapes with their names for easy reading, and simple equation of addition and subtraction for kindergarten or 1st grade. The great part is that there are lots of single digit number cards for you to make bigger numbers. So it is very easy to make math fun for the kids by asking them to keep adding zero at the end, or adding ones, tens and such.
For my kids, it is easier for them to see it all in progress and they love the hands on activity of changing the cards themselves.
Best Deals for Smethport Pocket Chart Card Set Early Math Skills
I have several sets of pocket chart cards from Smethport and these live up to the same quality of the others! These are must have cards for teaching early math skills to your preschooler or Kindergartener. The cards will help with number recognition (1-20), ordinals, individual counting, set counting, size and shape recognition, colors, measurement and position, plus and minus equations, greater than and less than, and even simple fractions. I like that the cards are thick with a laminate surface which makes them hard to bend and easy to clean. They fit nicely in a pocket chart which is fun for kids to play with or you can even use them without it and spread them out on the floor. Highly recommended for the hands-on and visual learner!
Honest reviews on Smethport Pocket Chart Card Set Early Math Skills
Where do I start? The 6 and the 9 look exactly alike, which might be problem for a 4 year old learning to recognize numbers. Information on both sides are confusing to organize; Just too much mathematical concepts in one product and using two sides was not a good way to put it together as far as I am concerned.

Cards are hard and filmed. Frustrated kids cannot rip it easily and dirt washes off easily. Card holder recommended to aid the visual.
