I like how this has grown with our child. At first it was something to shake, then play groceries with, then cook with, then make colors with... I like these better than simple egg shakers because they allow for greater possibilities. (Plus, my dad loved the idea of giving his grandchild "musical fruit"!!)

My 13 month old daughter enjoys playing with these for a few minutes, but then gets bored. I hope we can get more use out of them later, but for now they're not a favorite toy. I'm not sure what gave me the idea that each fruit made a different sound, but that's what I expected. In reality they all make the same sound which is pretty much the sound a maraca makes.
