I bought this set to go with a 40 piece fossil set. I must say first that I don't like the way the fossils are packaged. A novice fossil hunter might get some of the kinds of fossils confused, as there is only a little pocket guide to tell you what the samples actually are. Having said that, now I must say that the samples in this kit are quite beautiful. We actually heard "oooo's" and "ahhh's" when we opened the package. Suggestions to the manufacturer, "label your specimens"!

I ordered this on a whim...I'm an educator at a museum and we are developing public programs relating to our Dino Tracks exhibit. Besides, I love fossils. I was very impressed with the quality of the specimens. They are a nice size, and the ammonites alone are worth the purchase price. I rarely rate anything with all five stars, but I had no hesitation with this collection.
