There are many interesting chemistry concepts you can expose to an enthusiastic youngster. I bought this kit for my son's eighth birthday. Found there weren't many experiments to try, explanations in the manual were simplistic, and key components were fragile and arrived broken. If it were more expensive and I felt my son would have cared, I would have asked for a replacement.

My son received this chemistry kit for Christmas and LOVES it! We both love the hands-on educational experience. The directions are clear and all items are contained in the kit for numerous discoveries. It just happens to be the same thing he's learning in school right now!
