After reading the reviews for this item, I was nervous to purchase it, but it was exactly what I had hoped it would be. It's an absolutely beautiful TOY and my daughter loves to play it. It looks just like a baby grand piano and it's just her size. It was easy to put together; my only complaint is that one of the keys all the way to the right is stuck and you have to push it harder than all the rest. Does it sound like a toy piano? Yes. Is your child going to magically sound like Schroeder from the Peanuts? No. Most of the complaints in the reviews were that it sounded like a toy, but I'm not sure what people expect from a toy. As a musician myself, I would obviously prefer a richer tone more in tune, but for a 3 year old toy, it's absolutely perfect for playing and sitting at. It will make her more comfortable should she choose to play a real one in the future. So as a toy, 2 enthusiastic thumbs up.

We bought this piano as a present for our daughter for Christmas it was going to be the big Santa gift. The first one arrived incorrect, with parts missing, in the manufacturer's packaging (made in China). We contacted the seller JouJou Baby and they responded right away, and got a replacement shipped out in time to make our Christmas surprise. When we got the corrected one, it worked wonderfully.

My daughter, who just turned one right before Christmas, LOVES this piano! Anytime her daddy starts playing his, she will run over to hers and start playing. Her daddy even comes over to play hers sometimes, and as a pianist, he says it plays pretty well for the toy that it is. The sound is a little different, since the strings are elastic, and it's not perfectly in tune, but this is meant to be a toy, and she thoroughly enjoys it.

I bought this piano as a Christmas gift for my 5 year old daughter who absolutely loves music. After my husband put it together on Christmas Eve, we had to try it out (of course). We began pressing keys and no noise came out. We figured there was something keeping it from playing (i.e. batteries or one of those removable pieces of plastic). We then figured out that you had to just bang on the keys. We had to hit the keys so hard to make any noise come out that I thought we would break it and/or wake the kids up. Half of the black keys make no noise at all and 4 of the white keys get stuck when you press them. I am so disappointed in this gift as it was intended to be her "big gift" from Santa. Now I have to send it back and my daughter will be heartbroken that she no longer has it. I am thankful that she really likes it but she can't play it and if I keep it, it will be a $100 piece of furniture that merely LOOKS like a toy piano. My money would have been much better spent on a regular keyboard.

I purchase this for my 4 year old niece and she totally loves it. Very strongly build. Nicely painted. An excellent purchase for a child who loves to play music.

This piano is very small, a perfect size for a 2-5 year-old, but not meant for an older child. For what it is, however, it is a great toy. I purchased it as a prop for a middle school musical, and, although it is way too small for children of that age group to use it properly, it worked well as a stage tool for comic relief. Also, the cast members liked to play with it and those who knew how to play the piano could play tunes on it pretty well, though it does not have a full range of keys, being that it is miniature. Also, a bit out of tune, but fine for a young child.

Assembly was also a cinch, Two middle-school kids put it together in a few minutes by following the directions. Overall, it seems to be a quality piece, and, although a bit overpriced, I would recommend it.
