We got this for our daughter's first birthday and she adores it. We thought it was pretty but sort of like a hippie adult's idea of a good toy, nothing she would like as much as her toys that make noises and flash. Little did we know! She loves it, understands what it's supposed to do, and I think it really does help balance and coordination. I highly recommend it as a gift or in your home. I didn't know it was supposed to ring a bell, though. I don't think ours does. Thank god.

I was initially attracted to this toy because it's a seal (I love seals). The colors are bright and engaging and very whimsical, which I like. It makes a pleasant clacking noise when my daughter runs around with it and is just the right size for my young toddler (16 months old). This is one of the smaller and lighter toys of its type that I've seen, so it works really well for younger toddlers. Like most Plan Toys, it is simple, sturdy, and fun. Recently, we had a three-year-old visiting and he loved racing around the house with it as well, so I hope my daughter will continue to enjoy it for a couple of years.

This is a very pretty little push toy, and my son and I have had good luck with Plan Toys in the past. Unfortunately, when we received this in the mail, I realized that the tail doesn't flap like it's supposed to. There is no bell sound either. So the only thing that it does when you push it is spin the flippers around. I was rather disappointedI saw it in a store once and the tail did flap on the store modelwe must have gotten a defective oneand looking closer at it, the tail needs to be attached just-so in order for it to move with the turning of the wheel. It seems like a slight engineering flaw.

I would assume that such an expensive toy from such a nice company would go through some kind of product testing before getting shipped off. Too bad.

A friend gave it to my son as a gift, before he turned one. Once he could start to walk, he played with this toy EVERYDAY at least once. We would go on walks, and he would push this along. He is three now, and doesn't play with it much anymore, I guess he has other toys to take on walks now (bike, balls, etc). But this is great for indoor and outdoor play. The image doesn't show, but the long handle on ours would twist and come in half, to make for easy/compact storage (we took it along where ever we could). Hands down, best toy I received as a gift, and now give to others!
