Discount Mud Clock Science Kit
This is a great project that my 13 year old son really enjoyed putting together. It sits on our counter and works just fine. It didn't work at first, but he put his brain to work and realized he crossed some wires. I would look around for a better price, though--we bought ours for much cheaper than $50.
