My son loves jigsaw puzzles, but he's not that great with counting and numbers. These puzzle pairs were just the thing to get him to practice his numbers. The pieces won't fit unless you have the correct pair. Good heavyweight cardboard pieces.

We purchased this to use as a number-learning activity for our (almost) 3 year old. The images used on these glossy, thick cardboard puzzle pieces are neutral and sweet. Kids can use these to learn to recognize the numeral, for counting, and for sequencing/putting the numbers in order. Each matching set (numeral paired with countable objects) is outlined in a matching color, which can serve as a subtle cue for children just learning to count or recognize the numerals.

We're pleased with this as a learning tool, and it seems more fun than flash cards; our kid is convinced that this is just a fun puzzle at this point, so everybody wins with this!

I love that the cards are thick and durable. They are nicely illustrated. 3 year old is working on matching the actual numeral with the number of items, with is the idea with these cards. Great product.
