After buying this game for our 4 year old, we soon found out just how good it is to have a Leapster for him. This game is so simple and fun that it can keep him entertained for awhile. It has all the classic characters of Spongebob and many cool tracks from the show as well. Each track has a different spelling task in it. For example the jellyfish feilds level has you catch jellyfish and a word will appear and it is up to the player to determine if it is spelled correctly. Others have them making words with a set of vowels like "ou" or "oi" in order to get boosts and shortcuts. All in all, this game offers many hours of enjoyment and education opportunities for spelling and reading.

I've watched my daughter play this a few times now & it seems to be a great game. I was afraid that it would be too easy for her but it adjusts well to the level of the player. She just turned 6 & already reads really well but spelling is a whole different thing (as you parents may know). My daughter like this game she is finally getting better at the steering. She keep wanting to steer by turning the game instead of using the arrows like it tells you. I like it because it teaches them how to spell some of the smaller word as they play and as you play you will start to unlock the harder driving courses so she will have something to progress to. My boys love this Spongebob game. It's the one that they play with the most. It's probably a little more like a regular video game than some of them. It's features racing. You have to spell words but mostly just racing so I think it's probably not as educational as some of the Explorer games but it's definitely the most fun for them.They will play this one for as long as I let them. I seriously have to say that's enough boys and put it away. Definitely a big hit!
